I ported the turbine housing to its max and also ported the wastegate to the max. I really took out a lot of material on the wastegate. The WG should flow twiced as much as it did before. I would take pictures but that gives away all the secrets :D.
The water system with all the lines and fittings has been taken care of (banjo fittings, tubes, crush rings ect.). I will have to make a custom oil supply fitting, but isn't a problem.
I am thinking about replacing the turbine wheel as well, maybe with one with lesser blades to open up flow even more. I will have to sit down and do some figuring. Then all the rotatating assembly will be new and no reman parts other than the end housings are used.

You aren't kidding, that is a product that could sell like freaking hotcakes around here. If my MM upgrade falls through, which I will wait about 2 months more to see if it comes through, then I'll take one of these in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't build anything that wouldn't last. The water cooled center is the key if you want life out of any turbocharger. The mitsubishi in my GMC Syclone was stock and it lasted 150K before I pulled it out and put a 50 trim in it. When I pulled it out, it was still dry as a bone... The turbo in my GMC Typhoon has 140K on it and it is the original turbo that came from GM. They are both Mitsubishi water cooled turbochargers and have zero issues. I also have a TD06/50 trim hybrid in my 323 GTX and in 4 years of 17-22 psi of boost, zero problems! I really like mitsubishi turbos. They are strong when done right.

They are rare. I got a pretty good deal on the Sy and I traded a hopped up 87 Grand National for the 93 Ty. They are definately fun to drive.

the very last Typhoon ever made was just recently hauled out of storage by GM and sold at Auction

I can get my hands on 1991 Syclone #0001. He wanted my white FD in trade for it. I ought to call him back up and make the swap.

Porting the wastegate would apply the exhaust pressure to a larger area of the wastegate flap.
One of the basic problems with the 'OEM' Greddy is that the flap will open at high exhaust flow rates, overcoming the actuator spring, and causing major boost loss.......
Are you looking at a more robust actuator?

IF there is an issue with the actuator, it has a rod length adjustment which is good for 3-5 additional psi of spring tension. If it needs more tension, I can fabricate an actuator that will do the job.
