Haltech Interceptor?
Anyone looked into this?

hmmm - sounds like it'll work similar to the interceptor-x but with haltech software instead of microtech.
I knew haltech was working on this for a while, but never knew it was out. The "universal wiring" harness sounds scary though. Does that mean its similar to older Engine Management Systesms that require you to splice the OEM wires?
More information is needed on this ASAP.

rgonza is using a haltech but stand alone in his 3 rotor Rx-8
and the Blue Rx-8 with Renesis engine and custom turbo is also using a Haltech also stand alone. I'm still using microtech LT12S on mine but considering
to moving to a haltech...............................

The Mass Air Flow sensor is used to help determine the actual Engine Load currently being experienced. All the primary engine calibration tables, like fuel and timing, are referenced RPM vs Engine Load. So, when tuning for a FI application you simply take into consideration the fact that you'll be generating more engine load than you'd otherwise see with a NA application.
To do this, we simply rescale the Engine Load references to the fuel, ignition, and other tables so we properly address the needs at these higher Engine Load values. Ultimately, this means you can not only tune and optimize how the engine runs off boost but also as it comes onto boost and when its maintaining full boost.
Other systems that use just a MAP sensor without a MAF are making "assumptions" as to how much air is coming into the engine based on a pre-programmed VE table. Honestly, I'm part of the camp that prefers a MAF system if I have to pick MAP vs MAF. Some cars have both, others like the RX-8, EVO, and 350Z have only a MAF sensor. I think tuning with a MAF system is consistent and perhaps a little easier. I'm happy to discuss this more in-depth if you still have questions as to why.
I took it based on this that handling boost was an absolute certainty with the Accessport/Street Tuner software.

Bump? has anyone more experience with the Haltech Interceptor? Bindon did you get one? Any other thoughts about it?

The Trim control gives the operator a remote access control for finely adjusting either turbo boost, fuel or ignition trim. Can be used with or without a PC connected to the ECU. Ideal for tuning whilst on the dynamometer. It is suitable for use with all current model ECU’s and supports:
+/- 12.5% fuel mixture
+/- 50% fuel mixture
+/- 10 degrees ignition timing+/- 10 degrees trailing split (Rotary engines only)
0 – 100% turbo boost control

i havent got one yet, but haltech sent me the wiring diagrams for the 8, and its super easy to install. I think its just a matter or someone taking the dive and trying it...Its essentially a E6X, which is a good system, so I have no doubt it will work nicely, someone just has to be the first to try it

I'm building a custom turbo set up for my 8. I had my experiences w/ the old school haltech e6k and then changed to a microtech lt10s on my fc. i liked them both in different ways.
I will try out the interceptor when the time comes.

Not true .It comes with a MAP sensor and it does some MAF trickery .
I have used this solution for years .I have since moved over to Microtech . My power output has doubled , sorry trippled since then ,

Sorry dave, I couldn't resist!
The Microtech is sold as a P-n-P by MazSport as the Int-X.
Haltech is/was the state of the art for a long time.
I haven't looked at this unit since it first went into development, but it is likely a better solution than the Microtech since it has more granularity in the software and more configuration options.

DIFERENCE BETWEEN HALTECH E 11V2 AND MICROTECHFuel & Timing resolution Haltech 32 bits versus microtech 16 bits.
Idle motor control or iac halteck takes control of all. Microtech only two wire Iac.
Haltech with haltech heuc module generatas more spark power at spark plug than microtech.
A lot of configurable I/O Analog and digital channel microtech just 2 chanel and are digital.
you can use from 1 cylinder up to 12 cylinders withuot to sent to factory for reconfiguration.
BTW i have already installed on my car and work like factory car specialy in idles with a/c.

this thing sounds nice, or at least worth a try to me, although i dont understand jack about this stuff. sounds like the haltech just uses a lot of tomfoolery to get results you want
