GReddy Turbo Oil Supply

During my installation of the turbo, I came to the conclusion that the way they tapped the oil supply sucks. I really think that tee fitting is a poor solution. Here's why
1) There are so many joints that its seems like its going to be prone to leaking.
2) It has to be oriented just so to fit. I couldn't tighten it up enough to suit me without rotating it into a poistion so the fitting for the line to the turbo wouldn't fit.
3) Its a pain to get to, so if it starts leaking, it'll be hard to fix
4) I also don't like the way the oil line is tight across the tranny and might wear into some of the other wires and tubes in the area.

So, I am thinking about doing it my way. I want to use an oil filter sandwich adapter to supply the turbo. I attached a picture. I think it would be mich more reliable, and easy to repair if need be.

I haven't decided what to do with the return line. There are a couple of options I am thinking of. I could run the oil return line back up to the sandwich adapter return port. Or, I could just keep the return line to the oil pan and plug the return port on the sandwich adatper.

I am a little concerned about the drain line going up to the filter. Would the turbo drain correctly after the car is shut off?

So what do you guys think of this idea?

get the greddy oil pan, it is already made with a pipe fitting welded into the pan for oil return. the oil coming into the turbo is under pressure, but leaving it drains via gravity. having the return go to the oil pan is the best and simplest option. using the filter sandwitch is probably a pretty good idea for getting oil to the turbo, another option would be to do a filter relocation so that it is much easier to get to the filter, plus you should also have an additional port to do oil temp or pressure.

You can't run the oil return line back to the oil filter adapter unless you add a pump. Since the oil in the return line is gravity fed, it will only flow down. I found that I needed to remove the coolant line and the clutch line bracket in order to properly tighten the Greddy Tee fitting. Once I did that, I was able to get pretty comfortable with the tightness.

I thought about doing the same when i installed my turbo, I did have a leak when I first start my 8 and had to go back and do the oil feed all over again with new telflon and retighten. The oil drain line, just leave it like it is, going to the oil pan, the oil feed line, run it to the sandwich plate but if you are going to do a oil temp and oil pressure you may have a problem, my oil sandwich plate only had two ports.

I ended up not running the oil feed to the sandwich plate, i was a little nervous if it would get proper flow but after having the oil pressure gauge install there, i do not see why you would not have great flow. Cruising I have 4 to 4.5 bars of pressure and when driving hard 5 bars!
