Cool Greddy Turbo

I bought myself a RX8 R3 09' and i have had it about a year and i bought myself a Greddy Turbo II and i know i need to get myself a blow off valve but do i really need a boast gauge? I was also curious if you could tell me how much hp i would gain and how fast it would become.

Read the stickies in the Major Horsepower Upgrades forum. Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you...

expect maybe 70-100rwhp improvement. Get a good tune!!!

You're joking right?
Ok, I won't flame .... I'm having a weak moment I guess.

Technically I guess you don't need a boost gauge ... but why the hell wouldn't you?

To save a couple dollars after spending all that cash on a turbo kit?

And how fast will it become ...... I don't understand the question .....

Like quarter mile? Around the block, on a 2 mile super speedway?

You could run 2-3 psi on the stock tune .....
But he wouldn't know anyway because there is no boost gauge.

in all seriousness, I am not too familiar with what comes with the greddy turbo II kit

for series 1 cars we have been through countless changes to make the kit reliable and sufficient. Plug and play will not be an option for you.

Major concerns:

- tuning
- understanding what a turbo actually does and how it works (this may require some reading on your part )

will you need a blow off valve? YES
will you need to recirculate that valve? Yes

to all others, anyone know what the kit comes with?

I'm assuming it comes with an emanage ultimate, not ideal for tuning but will work.
