it's my understanding that BNR just ported the opening slightly for the waste gate; to simply aid with the higher expected boost.
although i'm sure with tweaks and some upgrades i could run 16 psi i'm wondering if i should even bother now. my goal was to run boost safely and hit around the 300 mark anyway.

Does the full print out have a Boost readout?
from what I'm seeing, it looks as if the 280tq number is made at a higher psi than 12psi....
At 12psi on bnr 60-1 upgrade, I look for at least 300whp. I would also like to say, Dynos are just tuning tools. Every one of them will read differently.
See if thewird will come in and share his thoughts on the adaptronic and rx8 tuning? I would love to hear his thoughts on it. Everyone else I talk to is biased

first off i get my information second hand, and i'm still learning a lot. ......
so what was happening was we were hitting 16 psi which is why the torque is so high but because the arm wasn't holding, it would drop off to 12 and hold there. also the intake temps were very high because of my greddy filter location. so we are seeing all the benefit of 16 psi on the torque but not the hp.
so waste gate arm to be adjusted
cold air intake to be extended into bumper by the ic
pre turbo secondary meth spray nozzle
re-tune

The pre turbo W/M is a waste of time unless the compressor is maxing out , which it wont be .

^ good to know thanks brett. so many opinions out there about what i should do/ how to do it. i appreciate your opinion, and if it is an engine in the long run i would rather stay with 13 than 16 and try my luck.

13 will be plenty fun
I'm with brett, Pre turbo meth won't help much. If you're determined to use meth, Just spray it post intercooler to further reduce intake temps and help keep the carbon away.

we have that already a 500 cc nozzle at the throttle, the pre ic meth/water spray will be a much smaller nozzle. i will push thewird to chime in here......

so it's been awhile car has been sleeping in my garage waiting for spring mods and final tune to hold 16 psi. right now i'm limited to 12 due to the boost spikes and hot air of my intake.
projects on the list/ compeleted
-gold foil the charge pipe after the IC
-installed 250cc pre turbo W/M sprayer
-adjust wastegate arm to hold 16psi
-K&N cone filter sized for the V/E (greddy was a bit small also i found it was letting in fine sand)
-building a sheet metal encloser for the filter
-carbon fiber intake and hose for cold air box above^
-Mazdaspeed brake pads and new brake rotors (rotors tba)
-Work meister s1R 18x9 +35 and new rubber (maybe Hankook not sure yet)
