XCarLink Problem

I have been trying to install my XCarLink for the past two days and it just doesn't want to work! I've been getting a message on the display which says EX 8:99. It starts to randmly play 5:11 but there is no sound out of the speaker. I've made the folders CD01, CD02, CD03, CD04 up2 6 but it is not working...any idea what it might be!!

I pretty much have the same problem, mine goes to EX3:38 or something like that.

Did you ever find a solution? I plan to call therpmstore tomorrow.

i just installed mine this past weekend and i have it working seamlessly with the bluetooth adapter.

the one problem i ran into was after i made the folders titled CD01-CD06 is that i had some other folder that kept popping up when i was puttin music on it, so make sure that you only have the CD01-CD06 folders. and then inside the folders make sure you just have the mp3 files. mine had folders for each band and then folders for albums and then the actual mp3s so i had to disect all of them and just put mp3s only in the CD01-CD06 files.

hope this helps, good luck

I called the rpmstore and they suggested formatting the usb drive. I cleared everything off the drive and formatted. It's now working.

Thanks for everyone's input.
