Turning lights into position lamps
I've searched around but its pretty hard to narrow this down.
Saw this in a magazine and it looked pretty cool and different...
I'm wondering if anybody tried modding the turnsignal "inside" the headlight housing as a position light and turning light, meaning that the orange light is on when the smaller lights are on, and it also blinks when it turns, something like the corvette or some of the cadillacs with the bright orange lights.(I always thought they looked nice)
Is it possible to just rewire everything like the turn signal mod thats posted here? or are they both different volts or amps? not really strong with electronics.
I'm thinking, with all lights off, the turnsignal works normally, but at night when the lights are on, the turnsignals are "on" all the time and it blinks when turning. This is with the sidemarkers stock or without the blinking mod.
is this worth doing it?
Thanks

Ah, nevermind, I misread it. Yeah, that's possible. I believe that if you run a + from your parking lights to the blinker and then attach a ground to it, it will work.
Sorta hard to explain.
Cut the wires to the blinkers.
Get the wires that's from your parking light, splice it into the blinker (the bulb).
Get the ground from the blinker wire that you cut (The one that's running from the wiring harness) and splice it to your + (the wire that you ran from the parking light.
This should work... It will keep your yellow turning lights on and will blink when you signal... I think. I'm not too savvy in this field either...
EDIT: Crap... this will make your parking light blink too if you signal...

Ya that's the mod I have except mine blinks separatly when the lights are on. Anyways I searched around the Internet to find out theres a blinker to/and position conversion kit that's popular in japan. Anyone sell them in the states? It's called "winker position unit" and you can also change how the lights turn on at startup kinda looks like hid startup.
