subwoofer help

Can anyone tell me how hard the alpine type r's bump. How are they compared to other's, such as jl? Also, what is the best 10" sub in the market? any price range

i think the alpine type R is a decent sub, i think within the price range they are average performers, if not above average...

in terms of hte best 10" on the market, i can think of a few pretty good ones

jl 10w7

crystal cmp 10

image dynamics idmax10

those are the three i can vouch personally for...

You are asking a very subjective question. It depends on the type of box, the amount of power, and the cabin gain of the vehicle it is in. It is a nice sub though and should be fine. The last thing that is subjective is your own personal taste. It may or may not be good for you but might be the opposite for someone else.
