Speaker Size

Does anyone have any idea as to what size the speakers in the RX-8 would be.

I hope that Mazda does not have to follow what appears to be a Ford mandate for 6X8 speakers. If you can do 6X8, just go ahead and give me 6X9's. 6X9's are infinitely better and have a wider variety available.

My experience with Infinity 6X9 Kappa's was and is great. These speakers are possessed of clarity beyond anything else available for cars, and outperform many home speakers.

I am PRAYING that they install 6 and a half components in the front, another set of them in the rear and a sub.

That's a 9 speaker system, not too much to ask for.

anyone know the size?

2" tweeters?
9" sub for front door?
6x9" for the rear deck
center channel?

as in the rear deck 6x9" are 2 way, hence 4 speakers at the back?
