RXstrakes footwell wiring problem

So I got my kit not to long ago, and I just finished installing them. They work no problem, its just...

well, I followed the instructions given to me, which matched up with every other thread I searched in aswell. In that, you splice the footwell wires to the green with a black strip and the remaining footwell wire to the blue with a red strip wire.

I did so. Only now, its on all the time and will not turn off. I know the green/black + blue/red wires are the courtesy lights, since I just did my shazbot28 puddlelights. But for some reason, its actually spliced into the turn signals. And when my signals come on, the footwell lights will alternate with the signals.

I've attached a photo of my splicing, maybe somebody can spot whats wrong? Also, my 8 is an 06 shinka with bose system and no navi, if it helps.

I got the footwell lights from Rotary Rasp here on the forum a while ago, and I remember running into a slight snag similar to what you're experiencing now. Confirm that there isn't another wire in the bundle with the same color pairing, and look closely at the two wires. My problem was along the lines of tapping a blue w/ red stripe wire, when I should have tapped a red w/ blue stripe wire (picking arbitrary colors here). Malfunctioning lights ensued. In that small confined space, I can see it easily possible to not immediately make the distinction between wire color and wire *stripe* color. Unfortunately, I cannot remember what colored wires are for what anymore.

^ I'll double check the wiring bundle again to confirm. But out of curiosity, what are the wires to the dome lights anyways? Does anyone know?

same thing happend to me. I just decided to tap the parking and headlight line and have them come on with those, and then put a switch between them. No matter what, the lights won't come on unless at least my parking lights are on, and then they still won't come on unless the switch is flipped. I like this method a lot better than the courtesy light way.

Alright I found the problem lol. Turns out I tapped the wrong bundle of wires. Apparently there are very similar colored wires in 2 different bundles. So just in case someone else runs into this problem later on Just don't be like me, 1- I might've cut a very important wire that won't lemme start the car now, or 2- My battery is dead lol. Hopefully its the later.

Okay scratch that, I screwed up yet again lol. I know its not the battery but looks like I'm still spliced into the signals which somehow is connected with the security system. "ie, when I hit the lock/unlock button, the entire interior lights go off to" Which is preventing me from turning her over somehow. "

Sigh... this is becoming a very troublesome mod anybody think it could be a fuse perhaps?

Edit- nvm I solved it.
