Removing rear seats

Has anyone attempted or knows how to remove the back two seats, I hate driving more then one other person. The rear seats are close to the front ones that they always ask the question I have come to hate " Can you move your seat up abit." Ahhh lol so I don't want to give people that option. Plus the weight reduction would be a plus too. Thanks!

grab the front of the seat pan and pull up on it as hard as you can. You'll be able to figure out the rest.

PS: this has been covered in several different locations in this forum if you had bothered to look.

Why not just decline to let anyone come along in the backseat, and preserve the clean look of the car?

Why not just say "No" instead of going thru all this?

if you want your friends to think you're making it into a race car, go all out. Take out the trunk lining, center pass through, the black plastic panels that make up the back of the trunk. and the center console too. I figure you wont give up your stereo and climate control, but you could take them out too.

Trust me, nobody will ask to sit in your ride after you do that to it.

Edit: dont forget the rear deck panels.

Pretty much that just looks bad... the best way to fix your issue is just to say NO!!! But just something no one covered: after you pull off the lower part of the seats, you have to unscrew two bolts that hold the upper part of the seat in place.
