HELP! PIE install now radio loses power sporadically!

just like the title says, but when it does it, the NAV unit goes all japanese menu style, and i have to turn the radio back on and cycle back to ex1 again.

i have head unit software ver. 9.5 and i dont know what the hell i can do to fix this other than removing everything and starting over again (a major bitch).

hope someone has some insight on this...

btw tried the search function, but its broken.

*update- it only loses power and screws the nav up when im in EX1 mode... this PIE may be screwy...

You said you have HU software version 9.5 - Has the PIE ever worked?

PIE only works with software ver. 9.55 and up

I had similar issues.

First, When you are on EX 1, press the NEXT button on the left side of the steering wheel. This will change it to EX 2. Go through them all then press the MODE button to cycle through all of the options. Go back to EX 1 and see what you've got.

If that doesn't work, disconnect your battery for about 10 minutes.

Good Luck.
