OEM Mazda Ipod Adapter Installed!

I know there is alot of threads on this but I just got done installing the OEM Ipod adapter and I am really impressed! I have used many aftermarket Ipod interfaces...mostly Kenwood's with a coresponding control deck. I was leary on this unit because of no text but it really doesn't affect how good the unit works. I have only setup my Ipods by artist and this unit will do that as well as by song, album, etc. Sound quality is amazing from my Nano....better than CD (most adapters I have used have been). Radio and steering wheels controls work great. I haven't gotten any errors either.....it works flawless. For $120 bucks you can't go wrong with this.

The OEM works with 9.55 in my car. I saw a thread from someone with 9.53 and that worked as well.

any firmware for the 8 will be compatible....the adapter is made for Mazda by Sanyo who also does alot of OEM interfaces for the Ipod. I installed another OEM one in my BMW and it was also Sanyo.

Welcome to the club!

Nope. The Mazda OEM displays a mazda symbol on the screen and all controls are locked. All menus are available from the head unit. Search for the OEM IPOD threads or consult the manuals.

Sweet. I'm too lazy to search, how do you check the firmware again?

you gotta hold 1 and TEXT with it on the radio for a couple seconds. it should tell you the version.

DarkBrew, do you have a URL for the OEM iPod product? I can't seem to find when I search.
