Need help with buying Aftermarket Seats

So Im researching aftermarket bucket seats for my WB rx8. I have no knowledge about these so does anyone have any tips or suggestions for me? I want blue or black ones to match my rx8. I really do not want to get into very expensive seats so i dont want to spend 1,000 per seat lol. I also have no idea about parts which i will need to do this kind of installation such as brackets etc.

Does anyone have experience in this area or have already done this kind of install for their rx8? Thanks guys.

Try cypher auto, if you can't afford big names.
Just find a seat you like and the size that would fit you.
Generally most seat will fit, the question is finding the right rail/brackets for the seat to fit in the 8.
You'll also need to bypass the airbag, fyi.

I had trouble finding the right bracket for my seat.
I ended up getting a modified bride bracket for my Recaro PP from forum member.

Good luck.

yeah see this is the stuff i don't know. I never knew about a bypass for the airbag. I think its going to be very hard for me to find the right seat and then find a correct bracket to match. I'm just afraid of screwing this up and wasting my money lol

well there's really only one way to learn, so good luck! Sucks that seats aren't cheaper though or else I'd replace mine too

You never knew because you haven't searched. The search function is a wonderful thing if you use it.

What were you looking to spend on seats? A ballpark est. The unfortunate thing is most of the quality seating is generally around the same price unless you can find a private seller/ partout/ etc.

Only 2? You plan on taking out the rear seats and leaving them out?

Couple things here. First, stay away from no name seats. Legitimate companies have safety standards that are followed, unlike that sweat shop in China. I have seen ebay special seats crack under everyday stress, I would hate to see what happens in an accident.

As was mentioned before, Corbeau is a great company with reasonable prices. Sparco is another. I had a Sparco Sprint in my car until I got to fat I used Sparco's bracket and rails, and it installed perfectly.

Also keep in m ind that your SRS light will come on and stay on, since the stock seats have airbags in them. If you cant live with that then keep the stock seats.

To say it once more, stay away from cheap seats!
