I am looking into getting the Mazda Sirius Sat radio for my 05 RX-8. I was talking with Rosenthal Mazda because they seem to sell the unit cheaper then the dealerships, but they told me that the hardware and this unit is temporarily not available for purchase because their is a problem with locking up during a channel lineup update transmission from Sirius. So I called the two Mazda dealers that are closest to me and they told me they haven't heard anything about this. So has anybody heard anything thing like this? or know what's going on with the Mazda Sat radio unit

I heard this as well from Park Mazda in Akron. OH. They were then told there was no problem from their Mazda rep. I have since bought and installed the Sirius and have had no problems.
Call Seth at Park Mazda if you want a comparable quote. He is great to work with.
