kits

hi, i just bought an 05 Mazda rx8 so i am new to these forums, sorry if this topic has already been posted.
i previously owned a Mazda 3 and installed a double din kit in it with a pioneer avic D3. i was wondering if metra or anyone else made a double din for the rx8 so i can transfer my nav into my new car.

Thank you, Jason

thats the corksport kit, it's Kanatech (in japan).. but sold to us by corksport (for US consumption) and with a $75 markup i believe.. there isn't any other way around it.. its a ars railing givin to us directly from mazda. and it's mostly just because the AC controls are integrated into the HU - so to replace the HU means no AC.. so the kits are rare and EXPENSIVE because of the AC controller required. but you can replace it yourself if you just "relocate" the HU and run wires back to the AC controls and put in your own system.. thats not that easy to do either.

So the corksport kit is expensive.. but it works, it's easy, and it comes with GREAT instructions... just bite the bullet and do it, or don't. the chances of you finding a cheap and easy way out are nil.
