Question Interest in carbon fiber parts?

A good friend of mine owns a carbon fiber (Real carbon fiber) business (G3 Composites LLC). He & I have been friends for over 10 years (In real life).

We're both enthusiasts as well, of course. All supplies are sourced from the USA & all work is done in the USA (He is based in FL)

I am posting to gauge interest on what folks may want.

I'd be happy to become a vendor if there was enough interest.

I just sent him several pieces from my Corvette that I should have soon. Can't wait to get them back.

Here is a link to some of the work he has done:
http://s1120.photobucket.com/albums/l496/g3Composites/

Thanks,
Tom

I'd pay cash immediately if they could make a full carbon fiber dash for a 1985 USDM Toyota Corolla GT-S (AE86). I've tried to bribe a vendor on club4ag.com to expedite production - they've had "plans" to produce one for almost 2 years now - still no product yet. It's almost like watching grass grow.... Hard to believe someone with money can't get one made.

That said, I highly recommend you (and/or your friend) get on club4age.com. There are multitudes waiting to get CF parts - myself included - and we have money to spend.

As you know, that would be a very involved & costly item. It can be dome, but I;m not sure you'd want to front the development cost. If we have 5 committed buyers it'd be another story.

Then check out club4age - seriously. I bet you'd have more than 5 committed buyers! Float it out there!

Everyone should read, whether you're in the market for carbon fiber today or not, the "How to buy carbon fiber" post on G3's Facebook page:

Hi Tom,

Welcome to our club.

Please just be aware of the links you are posting..

If you intend on fabricating "parts" for club members and selling them here then there are rules which apply (Vendor), equally there are also Advertising rules.

Be careful what you post

i have a contact that does carbon fiber work for the military--he said CF has come a long way. He could actually make a CF PPF if we wanted. Guaranteed not to break.

You are continuing to solicit business without even acknowledging Ash8's post. This is not good.

Hi,

I intend on becoming a vendor if it would be a fruitful endeavor for me, but at this time, there are no paying customers from this forum.

We already have a variety of cf parts for the 8. I honestly would buy a cf "flying M" but thats as far as I'd go.

On a side not, it looks like he does good work. So kudos on that

Added some (real) carbon fiber to my personal car courtesy of my friend. Carbon fiber center console, gauge bezel pods, rear hatch handle, climate control *****, passenger ac vent bezel, shifter trim, door lock bezels & door sills.

Feel free to reach out to me if you need some carbon work.

Now for the pictures!
