Factory Ipod kit +Sirius incompatible

Forgive me if this is common knowledge, but wasn't for my Mazda dealer! After they took apart the dash and pulled the bose stereo they found that the instructions on the Mazda Ipod kit said that the cable from the adapter box needed to go into the same input that was currently occupied by the Sirius Satellite radio.....They called California (like they're such a smart state) and someone there told them it has to be one or the other. I went with Sirius b/c I paid for it and it is really great, but wish there was some kind of A/B switchbox solution....Looks like FM modulator city for me.....All things considered its the least of my problems...

Luckily the dealer took the part back and even ate the cost of the abortive installation (they had never attempted an ipod install yet).

Has anyone had similar experiences? Does anyone know of a non-FM modulator workaround that will let me still use the Sirius? I have an 07 with the Grand Touring Package.....

Thanks in advance....
