Any owners have the in-dash 6-disc CD changer installed? I ordered it, but my dealer says they are still unavailable. So I have to wait until they get it in, and they will install it.
I've not heard anyone mention this, but just curious if they are available, or is my dealer actually correct about this one.

This item is a Port option but I have not seen it listed anywhere else if you wanted to get it after the fact. At the moment I'm muddling through a ton of options, one 8 I may pick-up, has the 6cd changer installed. I'm not interested in this option, I want the MP3 player instead. Anyway, if I end up going this route, I'll let you know..
6 disc can be ordered and installed later. My dealer ordered it for me - installation when it arrives is part of the purchase deal. I think dealer cost is $440 (diff from price when ordering with car which is $400 cost/ $500 MSRP). Install labor is unknown as they have never done one - I didn't press the issue as they threw in the post sale install.
Installs in slame slot as MP3 - search posts for MP3 install pictures to get idea of effort required.

I just switched to the Sports Package to get the base sound system to save some money for accessories. The Bose was frankly a disappointment and was not appreciably better than the base system.
If I were you I'd seriously consider an aftermarket system that can also play MP3's. That's for less money than the factory unit too.
