Smile My new Escort 9500ci

I finally received my Escort 9500ci. There is a bunch of stuff there to install and I hate drilling holes in the firewall. But I am about 1/2 way through. I will post some picts of where I placed everything when I am done. Looking forward to taking the car out and compare the sensitivity of the 9500ci vs. 9500i & 8500 x50 I have. More to follow, would love to hear from anyone who has already installed a 9500ci and what they think or it.

Stu

the 9500ci isn't a plug in portable unit.

it's a high-tech custom-installed and integrated system.

congrats man, get it done and lets see it in action!

I drilled 3 holes in the firewall and 1 in the lisence plate area to pass the cables through for the laser shifters and the front reciver. the cool thing is that the rubber grommets are provided so all's you do is pull them into place. I will have picts when i am done and post them somewhere so you can see it all, it is somewhat of a nightmare running all the cables and stuff.

Wow. Congrats, that's a beefy (and expensive) system. Looking forward to the pics!

You'll wish it WAS a plug in unit, when it starts to bleep "send to Bel for calibration" in about two years.......

They all do.

You must not be aware that this unit is software updatable by the end user. and to be "just in case sure" I put the part that would be have to sent back in a very accessible place.

looks awesome man. very clean install.

I wouldn't have placed the front detector in gap of the bumper, but still nice work.

Nice install! I've always been a V1 guy myself, but that system looks pretty unbeatable - as it should be for the price.

On a side note, this Californian is VERY jealous of the MP5.
