Bose and no audio input??

Hi All,

I am really enjoying my XM. However, I still don't like the FM modulation. Does the Bose system just not have a audio input? I assume we are waiting on some third party connector?

I am just curious as to what the possibility will be to turn off th FM modulation and do a direct connect to the stereo with the XM commander which I have already installed.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dean

I have seen some people who have used the Alpine PIE Adaptor. I have the Bose system but with the single CD. Will the pie adaptor still work to convert direct input to the XM Commander?

Come on guys, help me out

dude, there's a billion posts on aux input. search for it. in short, the pie adaptor works for some, but not all. someone is working on a pnp solution. there's a great diy on how to hack your cd player. there's also a diy on hacking your cassette player too.

the details are out there.

I saw a Pioneer PIE in the pie site and it shows that it could work with the Pioneer changers and XM Satelite, but nobody mentioned they tried it yet.

I just got finished reading that thread.

It works on some and not on others. We need a real aux input for this car.

The PIE adaptor is 80 bucks plus shipping and since I am not a car stereo guy, I am looking at another 50 - 100 bucks to have it installed.

I hate to spend possibly $200 bucks to find out it does not work.

I guess I will just have to wait until their is real PNP solution or some of the local stereo shops get familar enough with this car that they find ways to "rig" it.
