Audiophile noob: REquirements to install subwoofer in trunk
Hello,
Just wonder what do I need to do to install an aftermarket woofer in the trunk area. Do I need to drill onto the floor of the trunk? Are there any hinges made for it already? I hate to make any holes for the car.
Thanks.

what??? hinges? for a sub? drilling?
thats crazyyy man, you dont have to drill anything if you dont want to... try searching first, and looking at other peoples setups. i have a whole DIY on my setup, and though i do some drilling to mount my amp, it isnt into anything metal and it definitely isnt necessary...

thanks for the reply. I was looking at other people's setup and couldn't see how it is mounted on the trunk. So how does it fasten securely onto the trunk bed? And the wiring?

ohhh, alright.
well, most of the wiring is kept in place with zip-ties and hot glue on mine, and probably others too...
as for how my enclosure stays mounted in one place, i put velcro on the bottom of it, and that keeps it sturdily in place. then, when i want to take it out, it allows for a nice easy removal.
you shouldnt be forced to drill anything in your car, especially not into the metal of the trunk. you could end up drilling into the fuel tank or electrical lines!
