AM and FM radio changes channel on its own

Last week while listening to an AM sports radio station, the radio changed channels on its own. Did not think much of it but it happened two more times over the next few days. Each time I was in a different part of town so I do not think there is some signal causing problems. Anyone else experience this?

Did you put the radio into scan mode?

Definitely not but that is a fair question. For the record it is totally random and I did not hit any button on the steering wheel or head unit.

Did anyone die in your family recently? They are trying to communicate with you.

it might just be on a bad channel, and you get to differnt parts of the city, and the radio just trys to find the best/strongest signal... thats my only thought.. that happend when i first installed my sirius Radio in my tempo.. it wouldnt stay on he station.. it would always switched on me every couple seconds.. it just stopped.. dont know how...

It happens to me too. When I listen to 92.3 FM it will change to 92.1 FM every once in a while. No sirius radio or anything. Just the stock system.

I really have no idea because it happens at no particular time, and it's not that often. I usually just do one of these: and change the station back.

not at all, was thinking that turning the wheel might be a clue to a loose harness in the wheel or on the way to the radio..

Oh. Yeah, I was thinking that you were thinking we were pressing the radio buttons while turning on accident. My bad.
