04 gt with xm?

I just bought an 2004 GT, and I LOVE it. Its so comfortable to drive and handles like a dream.

Just to start off it does not have the bose stereo installed. So a couple of days ago I was going through the glove box and I noticed 3 cables, right away I noticed the antenna connector and realized the wires were connections for a satellite radio. I looked around the car and found the antenna, it is on the outside of the car centered over the windshield (I had never given it much thought before).

I dont think that it is factory installed, maybe the dealership put it in? But who ever installed the connectors and antenna did an awesome job. But I can not figure out how to use it (dealer didnt know how to use it either). I have read other posts and people said I need the sat button but I dont have one. I just cant see anyone spending the money to have it installed only for it not to work. Does anyone know how to use it or what I need to do to make it work? I really want to listen to my radio.

Thanks

mine came from the dealership like that.

to use, push the button on the radio that says: sat

then call the number on the screen, give them your vin, and pay money for your sat service.

My rx8 is great. I have not had it for very long but, I think I may have rotary fever :D . I bought a pretty good warranty from the dealer for major problems. Mazda also extended a warranty covering internal engine parts due to certain problems on 04-08 cars.
