Worth the investment?

Hi i currently own a Silver 2004 Mazda Rx GT and i have been trying to figure out if this 8 is worth the investment. The car has a brand new 2011 engine in it and the body has 117k km on it. There are some rust issues since the car was involved in a accident by the previous owner.
I need help figuring out if its worth investing a big amount of money on the car with the rust issues coming out ill be posting pic in a minute. The inside and outside of the car is in very good condition and i plan on getting the car a full body paint job done to change it to black.

I would like it if anyone knows alot about body work and rust fixing could give me the best solution to fixing my problem. I was told that cutting it out and getting it replaced and re-welded together would be the best way to fix it.
Current mods i bought and have not installed yet Mazda speed replica body kit, BHR ignition coil set, Fog light HID conversion kit.

1) it doesn't have a 2011 engine. Maybe a s1 remanufactured in 2011.
2) Repairing it would be way more expensive than just purchasing a well kept one.

A car is NOT an investment.

While rust is obviously repairable, it's just hella expensive, even for a very small area. Frankly the rear wheel wells seem to be a problem for almost everyone who drive the car all year in the areas that have snow. I wonder what it is with Mazda and the rust problems because I know people with Mazdas besides the 8 that are seeing signs of rust after only a few years.
