Vented carbon fiber hoods and rain...

Do they mix? Are there shields or channels to direct the water? I'm interested in the new VIS V-Speed...
http://www.visracing.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=4080

Kind of like the old Feed FD hood minus the scoop.

I think most kits come with drip trays, you could always call the vendor and ask.

Yes I do, but I believe it somewhat defeats the purpose of vented hood. I also can't imagine our cover has been designed to route water from above.

Instead of posting a link to the search function, how 'bout posting a link to those matches you found. Would have been much more useful.

does it make you happy when you do a job and get it done right and some one else gets the credit for it?..i would assume not....its a simple task and it irks me a bit when some people that have been on these forums long enough have yet to grasp the concept....i am trying to be more than useful so OP can find out the real way of how to use search and next time can just look up an answer him/herself and take pride....i have been on these forums less time and know how to use it....i also know the answer....does it mean im more intelligent?...no....just means i know how to use tools better and i was trying to assist and give some of those tools out for all to use

thanks for fixing the link, that still makes me laugh...but a question about that, did the threads you found actually answer the question? I followed a thread like this awhile ago as I was interested, but it kinda turned out like this one and never answered the question. I didn't bother searching as I wasn't that interested, just curious.

this car has been out long enough and there are quite a few people that have answered this and many questions thoroughly (sp?)....something as simple as a vented hood and elements question has been answered....a few times.....im usually one of the first people to answer fully on these threads but it gets to the point where i ask myself if i should just cut and paste answers......

chrism, is it possible (and is it a good idea?) to sticky threads that have answered these questions? Of course, I was thinking now just any thread, but ones that have stayed on topic and does not end up with people talking randomness? I don't know, just a thought, but I am sure mods have thought of this already, and the fact that it is not done is probably for a good reason so I guess what I said just now was for nothing! haha!! Opsss!!!

How about this...

If you know the answer or have something constructive to say about the thread, then answer it. If not, then move on.

It does suck that the same questions get asked over and over. But if you don't want to answer the thread, then don't answer at all.

personally, i took mine off. i think it lets the heat out of the bay better. the water that gets in doesn't bother me too much and is pretty minimal. just try not to spray water directly into them and you should be fine
It's funny how this is what I found when I did the search. Second thread in my list

I got the ks style and it never came with the undertray and the vents go right over the batterie and intake.. So I don't think it's cool for water to hit either or..
