Stock tint level

Not sure if this has already been said but I searched and couldn't find anything.

I just got a light emission tester at work and the official stock tint level (2005 rx8) is 74.2%

So if you put 35% on stock windows, it will be approximately 25.96%

20% on stock will be about 14.8%

Just an FYI

weird. this may be a dumb question, but are you saying the GLASS is TREATED with tint? like, not a layer of film tint, but actually tinted glass?? i did NOT know that!! Eek, i got 20% too via film, so i'm a bit darker than that...interesting...

so if the tint is embedded in the glass that means it cannot be removed before laying new window tint film?
