Spray Painting Fender Vents

Anyone here done this? I was thinking of using some "chrome" spray I saw at Kragens to just spray paint the plastic vents. What do you guys think?

whatever you do, make sure you use plastic primer before using the actual colour paint/spray.

That "Chrome" paint dosen't look like chrome when you get done. Just don't expect anything like "Instant Chrome" in a can.

I think it would kind of tacky. Not because it's spray paint, but because it's "chrome" spray paint. I've painted entire cars with spray paint before that come out looking awesome and no one can ever tell I used a rattle can. It's just more my taste that I personally wouldn't like chrome fender vents, then on top of that the spray paint chrome never looks like real chrome. Test it out on a piece of srape plastic first, using plastic primer otherwise it will just peel and flake off

Chrome paint always ends up just looking like silver to me.

those are chrome or aluminum plated instead of painted... but that's the look i'm going for as soon as i can get the color toned strakes to match my car... $$$ is a major issue

I'd love to see more pics. I have a spare used Fender Vent that I'm planning to spay praint with a silver finish. I guess a plastic primer, the spray paint and then a clear coat.
