It's a series 1. You can tell by the headlights, the front fenders, and the front parking lights. And the audio unit/navigation screen. It definitely has R3 stuff tho! Wheels, side skirts, looks like an R3 front bumper as well. (probably modified)

Very Nice!

1. Someone out there thinks every single penny you have spent on your rx8 (gas, payments, maintenance, modifications) is a waste of money. Do you care that they think?

2. The thought of how much money the OP spent on the conversion did not cross my mind. Maybe because I have a general idea? Or perhaps I just appreciate the effort?

I guess I am the only one curious about how much money was saved/spent on doing the conversion instead of buying an r3. maybe I should have worded it differently

Lol i cant tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but I am accustomed to seeing the slots going against the pad (opposite of what the OP has)

Man, I need to know where those fogs came from ASAP ... i have been dying to get my hands on a set of S2 fogs (and not pay 600 bucks)

If you add fenders, HIDs and LEDs then it is well over $5k. That does not include paint, misc parts or any other issues.

Yes, it was also a custommade genuine set from TotalSeven Japan. I had another post on this taillight.

This is an add on OEM foldable panel, took me two years to source these parts. I have got it "cubic printed" - proper way of spraying glassy black to match exising panels. Replaced new LCD screen and set up with av switcher to add tv, DVD and reverse cam etc. This is not carpc set up, it also requires professional to set up the auto folding mechanism.

So do the RX-8 R3 side skirts bolt right up to the S1 RX-8's or is there modification needed?
