Rear aero flares OR rear splash guards ???
I tried a search and couldn't find anything so here's my question...
I'm thinking about taking advantage of the Mazda accessory rebate.
Here's what is on my list (prices are approximate):
Front air dam ($362)
Front splash guards ($75)
Side aero flares ($235)
However I don't know whether to get the rear aero flares ($216) OR just get the rear splash guards ($63). That is too big a difference in price to not consider going with the rear splash guards. And even with only getting the rear splash guards I'll still be saving about $150 from the rebate (20%).
Does anyone have a profile picture (sunlight silver if possible) of an 8 with the set-up I have listed but WITH the rear splash guards and not rear aero flares?
If there are any photoshop guru's, your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is by no means perfect, but I did this some time ago for a similar request.
Hope it helps.
(First one is the photoshop) (Second the original)
Go for the rear deflector if you ask me.

I have compared 2 Red 8's with rear splash guards on one (mine) and rear aeros on the other (sjt's) and mine made the car look lower from behind but from the side sjt's looked better integrated since it blends with the body's curve better.
I installed splash guards coz I hated how messy the rear was during winter-spring time when I got it. I didn't want to put the bodykit look to it so I went for splash guards.

F*ck!!! I hate making decisions...
I've spend the last couple of hours looking at member photos with the appearance package.
I'm thinking of only getting the front air dam, front splash guards and rear splash guards.
Anyone have thoughts on this set up?
I think the side aero flares look REALLY good in the darker colors (black) but I'm not too sure about it in my color: sunlight silver, especially the rear aero flares...

I actually like the rear mud guards better especially from behind coz it makes the body look wider and lower. It think its because it has a straight cut as compared to the rear aeros that kinda slant towards the inside.
Also from the side, sometimes I fail to notice the existence of the rear aero when it's installed there. It blends in with the body and so maybe that's why I don't notice it unless I intentionally look for it.

I had the rear mud flaps and quickly changed them out for the flares. I like the look much better and blends nicely with the side aero flares.
If any one interested I have a set of red rear flaps for sale, new $50 plus ship.

Look in the Gulf Coast Club meeting pics at my blue with front air dam and front and rear splash guards. I got the splash guards for protection and so far( 4000 mi ) they have done their job. :D
