permatex headlight kit

ok i just went to pepboys and picked up this kit because my headlight has a little fog to it and i want it to look new. before i start F ing things up, can you tell me that its going to be safe to do it. or should i take it back and get something that works 100%

I do my own spray kits...well its not really a kit, but I do my own black out stuff, way better than that VTF stuff or whatever it is.

any of those kits are probably just high grit sand paper, compound and polish, so it should be fine
if the cloudiness isn't that bad, youd probably be fine with most plastic compounds like plastx or a scratch remover.
