TX Headlight Restoration Kits?

No matter how waxed ur body is or how much armor all u put on your tires, unclear headlights just messes it all up for me.

Anybody know of a good Headlight Restoration kit or a local place that can truly clear your headlights to look brand new? I know Meguiar and a few other brands have kits but i just want to know what my fellow RX-Club members have done to make their headlights SHINE!

I think xaino or something is better well liked around here. I bought a rain-x one. Didn't do anything. Don't get it.

This stuff is the best: http://tourenn.amazonwebstore.com/Gl...source=froogle

Restores your headlights and also includes a UV hardener gel that re-seals the headlights and hardens them so the hazing doesn't come back. With other polishes the haze just comes back

In the past few months I saw a street promotion team at some gas stations around here that were selling one of those "cleans everything" miracle sprays. They used it on one of my headlights, let it soak for a bit, and it seemed to have cleared it up pretty well. I should have asked them for a demonstration on both. I think it was called F1 or Formula Racing something.

Does the yellowing on our headlights typically coming from outside elements, or is it on the inside?

its usually from the outside ... unless you have condensation on the inside then it tends to dry and yellow

Meguiar's Professional Mirror Glaze works wonders on our headlamps. I've been using it since I bought my 8 five years ago and my lights still look crystal clear. The Clear Plastic Cleaner will get rid of any crap that's on it and the Polish will make it nice and shiny. The detailer spray isn't anything exciting but it's nice to have for a quick cleaning.

yeah normally it's on the outside.

I have a friend with a civic and his headlights where just totally yellow, he took it to a shop to clear it out and came out like new. I'm gonna ask him what the guy used on his headlights and get back to you.

I'm gonna get it done one of these days as well

I was actually looking for something like this earlier today. I found this stuff, I haven't used it yet, however this weekend I'm going to get it and try it out.

preciate all the suggestions guys, looks like i might go with the GlassyLite. Its costs just about as much as the 3M Restoration kit but doesnt require a power tool and it adds a protective sealant.. Anybody got any before and after pics of their 8 when they used GlassyLite?
