Has anybody dealt with this site??
Just stumbled across this site.
http://www.raceonusa.com/index.asp?P...S&Category=426
Wonder if anybody had any type of insight. good, bad, ugly? I was just surprised to see the pieces that I wanted for A LOT cheaper than most of the other sites. But on the same note, I know you usually get what you paid for and don't want to buy cheap pieces of ****. Any advice or experience with these people would be helpful. Thanks --Mark

I'm glad this post is getting views and responses. but is there ANYBODY that has already ordered from these guys and actually already seen the goods?
I'm not looking at the kit, I'm thinking of getting the carbon fiber hood and the MS rear wing (hopefully i can get it in matching CF). I wouldn't think there would be any fitting issues like some worry about the body kits. is this right, or may it not fit as well either?

Yes, I ordered from them. IF I were to give a score on what they sent, I got the side skirts, I would have to say a 6 out of 10. They were entirely made of fiberglass, even the support brackets which are flimsy and attached. The mounting holes are not cut, you can see that they molded them from the originals but have not been cut yet. THe material finish is fair but there were a few flaws that will need to be taken care of. I have not tried to fit them yet as I am very busy with other projects. Before I do fit them, I am going to make my own hardware and remove their flimsy brackets. They come without any thing to mount, just bare parts is all you get. I hope you either know someone who is good at body work, or have a few bucks on hand to straighten out their cheap work.
As far as delivery goes and working with them, they delivered, on time and took my payment. I have had no contact with them since. I got what I paid for. I am just lucky that I have the ability and materials to make it look right when I get around to installing mine.

I should be recieving the complete body kit tomorrow, but anyways . . .
I bought the body kit knowing it wasn't the real thing, i knew it was fiber glass, and i know the quality is gonna be poor - mediacore.
Everyone has their own preference . . .
I'm willing to spend the extra 1000-1200 dollars to have the body kit prepped, fitted, and painted.
Other's people preference is to buy the real thing, not having to worry about anything else except getting it installed.
There's a lot of people that bash on these fiber glass/knock off/ replica kits. But that's exactly what they are, replicas . . . and you get what you pay for. I mean, how can you compare a $400 bodykit with a $4000 bodykit. I already know the consequeces for buying the kit, but like i said, I'm willing to pay the extra money . . . and it also helps that I have a reliable body shop to go to.
the bottom line is . . .
my total (bodykit ($300), shipping($130), and bodyshop expenses($1000-1500) = under $2000
or
Genuine mazdaspeed kit = about 4-$5000
I'll let you know how it goes (about 2-3 weeks from now) . . .
My last remark is . . . if you have a reliable bodyshop, very reliable . . . go for it.
If your lookin' for perfection right out of the box . . . get the real thing.
I read all the threads, all the reviews, all the negatives about the replica kits . . . so I understand the consequences. Hey who knows, I might be that unsatisfied witht he kit and get the real thing also . . . but 'till then . . . I'll keep you guys updated on how everything goes.
