Question Considering Moonroof, help?

I'm thinking about an 8.
And i'm considering a moonroof.
The contradicting part comes from the fact that i don't like the spoiler moonroof.

i want something that doesn't stick out from the top, but one that goes into the car like a benz or a audi ish.

I also like to keep the color of the car instead of making it black.

Should i let mazda make the cutting for the moonroof and pay for that and then get a custom? Or get it done completely seperate?

Is there a place to ge custom moonroof?

Don't get an aftermarket roof. It may compromise the structure of the car and get leaks or rust.
At least in my opinion - either factory sunroof or nothing. I would not trust anyone to cut a hole in my car.

especially since there are no pillars between the doors...if you cut the roof then you need to cut the brace that holds the structural rigidity of the car!

i dont recommend the moonroof. Even though it works fine for most people, mine has never worked reliably. Even if it did, I would only use it one out of every 20 drives. It takes a good deal of headroom out of the car too. Also because of the how far back the windshield goes, the moonroof isnt really above your head but mostly behind it. It's the only blight on my car purchase. IMO

I've never been bothered by mine. Whenever it is sunny mine is open, but I'm more of a windows down than AC person. The only stupid thing about the sunroof is the fact that I have to hold the button to close it. That bothers me.
