Asymmetric headlights (or how to mod)

Just wondering does the 2004 US model RX-8 come with asymmetric or symmetric headlight pattern (Xenon DOT-lights)? If it comes with symmetric have someone modified the pattern to asymmetric (we need asymmetric pattern in Europe)? Maybe some pictures of broke a part lamp would help. Is there some sort of shader between bulb and the lens that would do the job?

Okay, after research found that there's cutoff shield. Pictures on this post DIY: Open Headlights - Taillights.

That's the US DOT-standard shield(?) Just wondering is the European ECE-standard cutoff shield the same or is there a difference?

The US light pattern is symmetric... or at least it points forward while the EU pattern lights up the right side of the road more. I don't think this is achievable by just a simple adjustment... more likely the lenses are different.
