I've Been speaking to Topgear8 about his spoiler. He said he used the OE holes.
My bases are a lot inwards compared to yours still. I'll see how the spoiler compares to the templates for the OE holes but i can see me doing what you said. lining the spoiler up and drill it own stress free holes.
It would be a big help mate if you could get the measurements.
It is a PIA, I'm going to have a mate help me fit it. i'm not going to try it on my own again.
Still waiting for my 2.5 Inch risers to.

Since the brackets come down at an angle, adding risers will change the mounting positions somewhat.
FWIW, here are some measurements (tape measure, so not super accurate).
From the outside edges of the bracket mounted to the wing and across the bolt holes: 47 1/4" (front), 46 5/8" (rear).
From the outside edges of the bracket, mounted to the base, and inside the 'triangle': 47 3/4" (front), 46 1/2" (rear).
Distance from the closest side of the base to the side edge of the trunk: 7/16" (front), 3/4" (rear).
Distance from the back of the base to the upwards vertical line made by the trunk lip: 9/16" (I need to double check this, seems too close - wasn't fully awake ... but it's as far back as I could go without encountering the curve folding down from the deck to the lip)
I leave you to do the conversions to metric -- anyone that can deal with weight in [I]stones[I], I'm sure can handle it!

sorry for the lateness to chime in, but if you buy for RX8 one, everything should fit..what happen is that the installation is tricky...
you have to loose everything before you tight them up...all of them...especially on the bottom/base, otherwise, the wing will look like, not fit at all...
I think the height is pretty good, but if you wanna be higher, you should get the 300
looks good, love it..

^ Sure, one can do it that way - if you don't mind bent mounting studs. Also, it's physically impossible for the mounting points to be the same with both the standard and the extended riser. YMMV. I'm quite happy with how mine came out with the better hole locations; very solid.
Not sure it helps with downforce at normal speeds, but girls like it ...

Even when set to as flat as possible, my car is much more stable on the highway, best noticeable when punching through the bow wave off of big trucks. The wing kills any sensation of being sucked one way, then pushed the other.
When set to full tilt, even as slow as ~50 mph, the extra downforce on the rear makes itself felt in the balance of the car in fast corners.
At DGRR, when sharing with Dan from Assaultech, he stated that they were more effective than other wings on the market. When I asked how he knew that, he stated that it was the only model he's sold where owners reported back with positive comments regarding effectiveness.

only other photo I have at the moment is this one. When sat in the car looking at the rear view you can just see the bottom of the spoiler at the top of the window rather than in the middle.
... And yes, you can see it over the roof from the front.

Nooooo. I'm talking about the side diffusers, not the wing itself. Yes, mine is a Mazdaspeed wing- correct. But the side diffusers on the rear bumper are RE-Amemiya as I mentioned. I forgot to quote the reply I was replying to, couldn't figure out how to edit my reply.
