Any VR's with the Vertex front bumper?
I'm seriously considering this front bumper, but can't seem to find any pictures of it on velocity red. Certain colors can make or break the looks of certain aero, so I'd really like to see one before dropping the dollars. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, but I tried "red rx8 vertex", "rx8 vertex bumper", "vertex kit rx8", "velocity red rx8 vertex", "vertex lang rx8" to no avail, so its not as if I didn't try. What search parameters did you use for your results?
Also, it looks good, thanks for the pics.

Really? I had no clue I could scroll down. Excuse me!
Seriously though, I saw zero red 8's with the vertex front,I searched for quite a while. Mostly got pics of the JIC D1 car, Sifu's car, a few others. Maybe my search filters were fucked, I don't know. Hell, since this thread is open, maybe some members who actually HAVE VR's with this bumper will be willing to share pictures rather than **** and moan over my abilities to google .

So what exactly qualifies me as a ricer? The fact that I happen to have aesthetic preferences for MY car? Do you happen to know what all I have planned for my car? I can promise- there will be nothing ricer about it, everything will serve a function. I'm not asking for any ones advice on the matter, so what's it to YOU or anyone else if I like the looks of the Vertex bumper?

I wouldn't call it an argument, more like you feeling the need to further detail this thread, step on my toes via personal insult, and me foolishly defending myself. But its the internet, every one is an expert/comedian. This place is worse than Honda tech sometimes, I swear.

Well the Mazdaspeed kit is not exactly perfect either, it is not really comparable to real factory pieces. I have actually seen slightly increased coolant temps due to it. But I do realize it was not designed with an intercooler in mind. It does not fit perfect. It's good, but not perfect. I have also heard it was wind tunnel tested on the 8 but I have never seen any proof of that.

Plus,I don't want the whole kit, just the front bumper. Also, I thought they were FRP? That might cause me to look into the Carbon in Motion VTX (Vertex replica) instead, as it is constructed of FRP, but you know... its a replica. Always a catch lol.

Yeah FRP can be a nightmare and if fitment is off you cannot really fix it. With fiberglass usually unless it is really bad, a qualified shop can fix it. But with fiberglass molds generally the molds get crappier and crappier as bumpers are made. Molds for ABS for example cost a lot of dough, which is why you don't see many kits in ABS. But even then ABS kits don't always fit great, the Tsunami is a good example, it doesn't fit well and it is ABS.

Well, I am a painter, so getting it to fit right won't cost me much more than a 6 pack of beer for one of the body men lol. I've worked with cheap shitty fiberglass before and know for sure that I want nothing to do with it on my car. Never messed with higher quality fiberglass, but I can't see the overall structural integrity being much different. I work with ABS on a daily basis, and it can certainly be temperamental and is sometimes easy to warp during the bake cycle of the paint booth. These reasons are why I'm leaning toward FRP, but I have limited experience with the stuff.

I think FRP is good compromise. I know the MS kit is Metton, which looks like FRP to me so I'm not sure what the difference is. It's all hit or miss, I have heard a lot of good stuff about the Shine Auto stuff but from what I have seen in person I have not been impressed at all. My buddy recently installed and authentic KS burn Out kit and it was not perfect by any means but still fit very well IMO. He is obsessing over gaps but that is just his OCD.
