No offense but the past few days you have posted many threads with questions that could have easily been answered with some simple searching. Try reading around the forums some more.

In addition to what you mentioned I would also suggest doing some research on premixing.

ok guys, sorry but I cant go through 600 pages of technical language I dont understand. lol. there should be a thread for premixing for dummies. I would have never thought of adding to oil to my gas. lolz. Also there are mixed opinions here about everything. using synthetic oil or not, premixing or not ... is there one answer on how to take care of your wankel for people without BD in engineering.

Premixing is more of an art than science, as it isn't sanctioned by Mazda. Some people use 3 oz / tank others us 8 or more. Some suggest that not all 2 cycle oil will work properly for the mixing. Some say it should be mixed with gasoline outside of the tank before adding.
There isn't any set rule for premixing and if you want to do it with any amount of intelligence, you are going to have to spend the time to read.

Nope, it's never too late.
Changing the ignition system helps as well, fresh coils are always a good insurance. BHR also sells an upgraded system that should overlast the stock coils.

If you track your car you should really premix, swap the coils, remove\replace the catalyzer and pm Mazmart, whose name's Paul, and order Mazmart's water pump and thermostat.

Pulleys won't help a bit with engine life imho, the accessport will because of the better tuning, modified fan operating temps and OMP injected volume.

Most of the service maintenance is personal preference and what people feel comfortable with. So research is your only option. It won't hurt to understand a lot of the technical side behind how your car works and what makes it go. You will appreciate it a lot more once you do.

Besides, there is no definitive answer as each owners situation is different from the rest.

But basically if you want the most life out of your car, make sure it stays cool, fresh oil, properly oiled and lubed (engine and suspension points), do the preventative maintenance and you keep it clean. Fixing something when its minor before it becomes major is the biggest thing.

A basic list would be:
+ new plugs yearly, NGK brand seems to be the most popular choice
+ fresh oil, always keep an eye on the level in the engine
+use quality gas
+keep it clean (the entire car, engine, underbody, interior) and protect the paint, a good wax
+use the mazda service schedule in the owners manual as the bare minimum service schedule

If you drive your car harder and it sees prolonged periods of heat, you might want to look at the REmedy water pump (basically the same as the 09 but the 09 pumps won't fit 08 and earlier), reset the fans so they turn on at lower temps to help keep the engine cool, and replacing the coil packs with the yukon coils.

Most other mods are at owners discretion how much and how far they want to go.

yes one person has done this--it is basically the same as a ls2 coil. at 100+ dollars apiece --its not the one for me.

to prolong the rx8 life i suggest the following:

1. BHR coils and wires
2. fresh plugs
3. air filter
4. frequent oil changes (2.5k to 5k kms)
5. Axial Short throw shifter
6. sohn omp adaptor running 2 stroke
7. larger oilpan greedy/race roots with heavy 20/50 grade synthedic (since its not injected anymore and now can extend oil change life to 5k-10k kms)
8. throddle body bypass if in hot climates (dont do in cold)
9. mazmart remedy water pump w/ thermostat
10. larger aluminum radiator
11. Cobb tuner
12. Walbro Fuel Pump
13. headers w/exhaust system - or -
14. A big fat turbo/super charger with exhaust system....!!!!???
15. BHR 1/2 shafts
16. larger wheels 275+
17. cluth/flywheel for the addtional power
18. everything else i missed to mention

okay maybe remove number 14 on lol
