OBD-II to iPod Touch question

i am looking for a way to monitor my fuel consumption and i found the Innovative Motorsports OT-2 and Rev by DevToaster. has anybody ever used these or know if they are worth the $180 for the wireless OBD-II transmitter?

I used Rev for a while, respectable software but limited in what it can pull from OBD2.

I didn't pay $180 for the transmitter though I got the much less expensive wired version.

I've used other OBD2 tools in the past that had pulled other info from the stock ECU, such as EGT. Regardless check the specs and see if the information it pulls from the ECU is to your satisfaction and go for it. Overall its still a great product.

to be honest i don't even know what EGT is. i really just want to be able to monitor my fuel consumption since i use my 8 as a daily driver. i was mostly concerned about whether or not it would be compatible with a rotary engine. and on the wired OBD-II reader, did you think it was in the way or was the cord long enough?
