If you have ATR and it's working , then you can tune your turbo with it .

Re laptop : I think the thing to do would be to clone your hardrive if you wanted to avoid more ME expenses. Have not done it myself but I'm sure that would work.

I run MEP in a Windows 7 Virtual Machine and back it up with my regular Time Machine backup.

For a Pro versiopn - there is no problem to re-sale mazdaEdit with linked OpenPort 2.0
About Personal: if current customer re-flash his car with a stock ROM (I MUST see it) - I'll re-issue a license for a new customer
If anyone has tried to sell it can they please post about their experience on here .

If any of you had to choose, solely for the purposes of disabling certain CELs, for instance those related to the CAT because you plan to remove it, which would you go with?

Cobb AP if you have a Series 1 (looks like you do)

The Cobb isn't an option for a Series 2

Cobb is the easier option ............less hassle .
M/E is cheaper

Thanks for the input folks. Now if we go for a new COBB, I've heard for the RX-8 we have to go through MazdaManiac, is that still the case? For perspective I've looked at the COBB website and they don't even list the RX-8 as a vehicle the Accessport can be used on, but I may have been in the wrong area of the site.

Just my two cents. have MazdaManiac and couldn't be happier. First tune from him is perfect on my slightly mod Shinka and it feels like I gained 50 hp (seat of the pants dyno). It amazing in how fast 10k comes up.
