Fuel V. To The E. tuning in the place to BE!!!.

Ok guys... Ive been messing with my VE Tuning with the Cobb Access Port..

What I have been doing is been messing with the Short Term Fuel Trims.

Data Logs are.

RPM. Calculated Load. Short Term Fuel Trim..

I have been just + or - the STFT for the specific RPM range and Calculated load.

If you have any idea what I am saying let me know.. if I am anywhere in the ball park in doing this let me know.. Also, How should I be data Logging and Should I be adding another data logging item to adjust the VE tuning.

Just in general just want to get an good idea of Fuel VE tuning with the Cobb Accessport... Think I got it but looking for some feedback..

Id go with ltft not short. Short can be affected by many things and will always be there moving around.

Something as simple as The temp will make your fuel expand and shrink causing stft to shift. The car is already programed to adjust for that.

You should be tuning for the consistant long term trims that the car develops.

Did you scale all of your sensors first? If not the method you have chosen will likely not do very well.

Thanks Kane.. The Only thing I really tuned was my Maf Sensor. I did that first before I did anything with the VE table. Are there any other things I need to look at first besides the Maf calibration before I start poking at my VE table?

Thanks..
P.S. hurry up and get another class going so i can take it.. (in so cal.. )

You shouldn't be doing your own tuning yet, VE is not where a newb tuner should be ...

Logs with between 5.3 and 8 + trims

OK, I have positive trims for LTF, does a + on the VE richen or lean the AF?

For positive trims; I should increase the VE in my map to get closer to 0 LTF trim in my logs for the load and rpm range?

But I have negative STF trims....
