Has anyone used fluid motorsport to tune their AP? How are they with customer relations and what kind of turn around time is expected for new maps? Also how are they tunning something similar to jeff where you send logs or at location on a dyno? Or are they still even offering tunning, I see nothing on the web site about it anymore.

I could ask the man himself but then I would get a biased answer like 48 hr recieved message and a turnaround time of 5 days and we know how that goes. By all means go ahead and chime in if you wish brice as we will obviously have a rather indepth discussion about services and methods of getting my car dialed in.

I think many are concerned about not knowing who the tuner is.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Last I checked, Jeff's service was working fine.

I think, for some people, getting it fast is more important than getting it right.
So, I can understand the OP's interest in that regard.

You are exactly right. If I was guranteed a new map every 3 weeks that would be fine and dandy but 4 to 5 mths without a car(meaning it can't be driven in a maner I see fit at that moment) is out of the question. It's not personal it's business as i do not see owning this car too much longer at most another 2 yrs then i'll be moving on to something else. As for the getting it right part I'm mildly informed as to what needs to be where so that part is on me.

pdxhak- I have only met 1 person who has produced parts for this car yet I have still purchased $15,000 in mods and addons so no biggie. I have never met jeff nor do I ever see it happeing as with 90% of the AP customers he's tunning but they still they flock like moths to the fire.

Symbioticgenius- If it aint broke, fix it till it is! ->pot meet kettle right

LETS NOT MAKE MY THREAD A PERSONL DEBATE. IT'S FOR GETTING INFORMATION ON OTHER TUNNERS FOR MY NEEDS

Well, hopefully you will be able to live up to your end of the agreement with whoever you get to tune your car better than you have with me.
I suppose that you might become more meticulous when you are actually paying for a service.

JEFF-did you not catch the part where I said my thread is not for personal attacks. If I would have known in the start there was a limit to your service I might have gone a different direction. When I bought the AP it was before you put up your 6 mth limit. Thats your baby so do what you wish I have no say all I can do is go another direction.

I find that if you treat Jeff with respect and patience you will be kindly rewarded. He is not oblivious to special needs. Its when people start demanding, complaineing, and nagging is when he will get on (or off) your case. Dont cry about other peoples service in a non confrontational manner than not expect them to rebute. Your entire thread is a personall attack, first on brice for being biased and then on jeff for past experiences. So sorry nobody can possibly meet your needs. Go download the race tuner and tune your car yourself then. Its one or the other: knowlageable people on their time, or trial and error on your time.

actually, it just seems as though the OP was asking if anyone had experience with fluid's AP tune, and asking how it is compared to mazdamaniac's tune.
Why the hostility...? i don't get it...

LOL

Well currently we are doing fuel testing so we can measure increased MPG on our test vehicle. All of the other tuning is complete so almost there. We have one customer who will be getting their final revisions shortly.

It still amazes me that Jeff has the time to come argue with customers instead of getting work done.

He comes in threads tells people they are idiots and dissects fuel pumps instead of caring for his customers.

Interesting food for thought: Based on Mazdamaniac's amount of customers he has stated in the past his Free Service has Grossed over $60,000 in profit on his end for the sale of his AP services bundles.

So don't let him fool you with his free service.

That number is a low number as well, I factored up to $80,000 as well but was going with a low estimate. This number was calculated based on profit margins provided with first hand knowledge.

In an honest reply to this message we wouldn't be able to turn around in 48 hours as we have previously stated. I will always call it how it is.

When we are ready, I will post a new thread going in depth with the explanations of services and processes.

I have been using our one customer as a learning tool for myself and the process as a whole to see what can be done to expedite the process to make things easier for future customers.

Also on another side note, this is not our number one priority unfortunately, hence the delay.

We have gotten mixed feedback as some have already stated so, it is not to say this won't happen in the very near future.

Jeff actually also helped us in europe with some bricking accessports directly mailing Cobb in our place when we noticed that Cobb was negligent with problem solving and communications. In the end it is really up to the customer to pick up a tuner and let him work on his car so talking about numbers and grossing is rude.
More doesn't equal better and a shopping mall like service is surely going to sell more but in the end who cares?
I still have to see a tuner stay up 'till late to help a customer abroad tuning a car for a customer-comfortable day time That's another food for thoughts imho.
