Cobb AP and DTCs?

Can the Cobb Accessport program an ECU to ignore certain DTCs?

Thanks! I installed a Greddy turbo kit on an '04 6 speed MT and the kit came with a block off plate that blocks airflow to the SSV valve, but after I installed the kit I was getting a P2070 (ssv stuck open). I sent the e-Manage Ultimate and the wiring harness back to Greddy for warranty but Im still getting the same code. Its not affecting the engines performance but I don't want to look at the CEL. I'm also running 3" catless exhaust and I don't want to see the CEL for that either. The AccessPort looks freakin awesome and if it will fix both of those DTCs for me then I am definitely getting one!

Whats the purpose of the blocking plate anyway? And will it run right without the plate without having it tunned?

Does the accesstuner software all you to turn off any of the DTC's ? I know on the Subaru accesstuner software you can. You get a full list of all DTC's and check-boxes next to each one.

How exactly does the AP mask DTC's? And will it mask the p2070 that I'm getting?

Dude - the P2070 code for a stuck SSV, which means you have a sticking SSV. Have you tried moving the SSV by hand? There are upgraded components to address the P2070.

Yes I have tested the SSV several ways and there's nothing wrong with it except that it doesn't get any air due to the block off plate that was installed with the Greddy turbo kit.

Scratch that... I was wrong... the block off plate DOES NOT block air flow to the SSV. Sorry guys

1) Blocking plate stops air from going to the APV.
2) The stuck APV CEL is a "feature" of the way GReddy wires the e-manage Ultimate for the RX-8. I've already gone over that in my e-manage threads 3 years ago.
3) Laythor - check your CEL now! lol

The AP does a LOT more than just block the DTCs. Especially on a boosted application.
