Advice on performace CAT & remap

Hi all,

New to the site but not new to mechanics / rotarty.

I am curious if any one could give me adive about changing out the standard CAT on my 05 2.6L RX8. She has an uprated starter motor but is completely stock other wise.

I want to replace standard CAT with high flow SS one, but not the whole exhaust. I dont want that over bearing 'blow'

I like 'barks' from a car rather than an oversize can of blow.

I like the standard induction noise she gives and have considered ram air kit but i dont think so, possibly too over bearing.

Also a re map by my local guy will set me back about £150 or $285. Not loking for mazzive gains just a tweak on bhp and economy?

Thoughts, suggestions and ideas please would be great

Thanks kindly.

HJS.
A bit less than 1000€ but it's the only cat that will last.
