DIY people, base model 8 wants fog lights...

Anyone have a write up for me?

Also, do the kits sold on vendors of this forum have all the parts needed or do I need to buy things separately?

I have recently done this, you'll need to get the fog lights and the light switch with the fog light switch built into it. Very easy to do because the wires are already there you just plug it up assuming your going OEM which is what I did. I just bought my set off ebay, but there is one for sale in the BST I thought I saw awhile ago.

Did your set come with instructions? Or did you just wing it?

The OEM fog lights hook directly into wiring behind the bumper. All RX8's have the wiring regardless of whether they came with fogs or not. You can get a replacement switch that installs in about 10 minutes.

Something more like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05...Q5fAccessories
It does come with instructions, you will have to take off the front bumper to mount the fog lights. It's really easy though and the inside switch is a 10 minute job. Very much an easy job take your time you can get through it. If you need any clarification just post back here or PM I'd be glad to answer any of your questions since I have already done it.

Like flashwing said the wiring is already there, once you take off the bumper you'll see it taped up to something. Just remove the tape and plug in the fog lights.

Ordered last saturday, arrived wednesday. Boyfriend installed today in about an hour. Simple. The lens turned out to be a blueish tint, not my first choice but worked out.

BTW. I offered 59.00 and they accepted it. So I got it for 78 shipped. Wish I would of offered lower...

Hey guys, question, does the wiring sit behind the bumper as well on the 2010 models? I would LOVE to install some OEM fogs on my base model. Also, anyone know where i can get a pair? I believe 09 and 10 are the same, but I cant seem to find any on ebay

If ebay doesnt have any, check with mazmart in the vendor section. Pretty sure they could get you some.

Thanks for the reply. Yea I posted something in their vendor section, I hope they have them, I find that the fogs really give the front end a more aggressive look.
