DIY: front plate relocation the cheap and EZ way!!

This is how i get around having a front plate on my car. I haven't had any trouble with it so far and it was quick and easy.

All you have to to is use zip ties and put it on the passenger side sun visor.

Hmmm..I took my front bracket, cracked it over my knee, and that excuse seems to be working just fine. I keep it in the trunk.

Can I really get away with the sun visor mounting? Should I dare do this in NY?!

I like the idea a lot though. Much cleaner looking.... I'd love to get away with this....

Most plates these days are reflective, you could blind someone with it that high. Ever drive behind someone with a CD hanging from the rear view?

The Japanese have cool folding front license plates frames. You do have to get out the car though.

But, you can fold them down at angle, thus really hard to see, and then fold them back up so that the license plate is visible and perpendicular to the ground.

Now if somebody could make an electric one. That would be best of all. You mind as well go all out and have a switch for the rear license plate lights as well.

I just took mine off. Got pulled over for the first time last night for speeding and he didn't even mention the plate. Nice mod though. Could that be dangerous in an accident?
