i wanna make my rx8 louder.. but i dont wanna spend the money on a whole new exhaust system any suggestions?


also should i buy a short ram intake or cold air intake?

 

remove your exhaust and cat and run open header ... free and loud!

I went and had the muffler removed from the 8 and then just piping out the back. The cat and resonator is still in place. The sound was surprising. We all thought it would be loud and rasp but it isnt. The sound is louder but very deep and nice. Surprised us all. You could try that.

 

thats why you should have the exhaust come out of the header, and then up the driver side under the mirror ... this way if it is too loud, you can just put your hand over the hole to muffle it when you pass by cops. Duh.

 

I have a 04 rx-8 already have the catback racing beat exhaust on it, and im looking into adding RB headers the question i have is, will there be a noticeable change in the sound i get from the exhaust?

 

unless you plan on giving me one of those headers (plural), I would suggest you only order one header (singular)
