Does anyone make an aftermarket larger throttle body for the 8?

You don't need a larger one. It is already 75mm which is larger than many V8 throttlebodies. It already flows more than the engine does. It is also electric as the car is drive by wire so even if you could get a larger one installed, the ecu would have to be completely recalibrated. Larger throttlebodies are useful on some cars but not all. This is definitely one car where it isn't going to do anything for you.

They have to use a new throttlebody. It's cable opertated as opposed to drive by wire. They are the same size though.

Is there any optimization to be done to it? I know there are a lot of things that you can usually do to throttle bodies to make them a little better- ie. getting rid of speed bumps, and filing down the center bar...

Is there anything on the RX that can be optimized? I know that they did an excellent job or wringing out every hp they could.

i believe spacers have been discussed here before but they were considered useless by rotarygod himself... there are some of those available though... a google search will turn some up made specifically for the rx-8.

^^^OK, Swift. Give up some info. I see two BOVs, a polished/chromed metal upper intake manifold, and a relocated coolant overflow. Where is this car and where are the parts?

There's only 1 blow off valve. It's before the throttlebody. The one by the turbo is the wastegate and the purple thing back on the firewall looks like a fuel pressure regulator.
