Indeed, in fact, the throttle-by-wire system actually keeps the throttle closed more than it would be on a conventional car. So if you go WOT, the system makes a smooth sweep to achieve ideal openings at all rpms rather than just snapping the butterfly open.
A different tb would only help when the throttle is actually 100% open, and even then, its doubtful if its actually a restriction or not. Now twin-runner throttlebodies might have some advantage, like the IRTB's do on high-performance NA 4-cyls, the idea being to optimize the tuning of each cylinder (or rotor in our case) to account for the slight differences between them.
