Superchargers

what is the best supercharger for the rx8. Not looking to get a turbo so dont give any of that turbo is better crap. Price not too much of a factor but it must be something that adds a considerable amount of power but not some ridiculous figure that destroys my engine, it is a daily driver after all.

I would love to say search but oh what the hell
right now the best would be pettit supercharger if ur not wanting a turbo

look up compound charging, but again, what ever lol

I can see where this thread is going. I think you should wait untill Pettit releases their flash for the stock PCM, then purchase their kit. You will have a nice powerband that you can feel without having to constantly wind the motor past 6k, and your cruise control, traction control, etc...will all work(If you wait for the flash). Cam(owner of Pettit) has great customer support, which is just as important to me as the product. My car has 75k on it and i've been running the kit for a few weeks now with no issues.

Im very interested in the Pettit kit. but like any other FI options, my only concern thus far is that the CEL.

In NYC, you get a CEL = instant fail inspection.

and you cant just *pull* the battery, reset the comp and have it test, you will still fail.

IF Pettit can get the flash out ... I guess everybody have it by then. We'll see
